The National Children’s Concert Band

For players aged 10-14 with at least Grade 4 (or equivalent standard) in their chosen instrument, NCCB gives young musicians the opportunity to develop their potential in a band where pieces are chosen to both stretch and engage all players.

Our NCCB players benefit from a mixture of small group sectional teaching which builds their confidence, as well as the excitement of performing as a whole band.

The National Youth Concert Band

For players aged 15-18 of Grade 7 standard and above, NYCB balances challenging repertoire with excellent teaching from leading music professionals to allow our players to achieve outstanding results in our week-long Easter Residential. This is followed by our three-day summer course, bringing NYCB players back together to revisit the Easter course repertoire in new performance spaces.
